Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Selinda Concession.

  • On arrival in Kasane, you will be met and assisted with your bags across the tarmac to your light aircraft, which will fly you across the Delta to the private Selinda Concession. On arrival, you should have time to settle in and relax before setting off on an afternoon excursion. Return from your activity to a lovely dinner on the open-air patio.

  • Enjoy your time at Selinda with safari drives, guided walks, mokoro trips and boat safaris, accompanied by expert guides. You will go for a morning and afternoon activity. Feel free to ask your guides questions, as they are experts on the environment!

  • Cruise the waterways of the Okavango on a special pontoon boat, an utterly unique safari experience. The spacious deck is complete with couches, a dining area and a bar where you can comfortably enjoy floating brunch or sundowners while watching hippos and elephants in the water.

  • Today, you will take a private helicopter flight to the private Duba Plains Reserve, where you'll stay at Duba Plains Camp. You'll have time to settle into your tent before heading out for your first afternoon wildlife-viewing activity.

  • On safari at Duba Plains Camp, you'll enjoy safari drives in the mornings and afternoons when the wildlife is most active. Duba Plains has a wealth of resident wildlife including healthy populations of big cats and wild dogs.

  • On safari at Duba Plains Camp. The Duba Plains Reserve has Botswana's densest population of lions as well as Botswana's largest buffalo herds, frequently numbering in the thousands. It is also a good area for birding as hundreds of species can be found in the concession including the saddle-billed stork and water-billed crane.

  • Leaving the Delta, you will fly south to the rugged, yet beautiful Makgadikgadi Pans. Where there was once a vast lake, there are now miles of shimmering white salt pans expanding out in all directions. What little vegetation and water is available draws in the local wildlife, making for excellent viewing opportunities. You will enjoy all of this from the comfort of your private tent at Jack's Camp.

  • On safari at Jack's Camp, you'll enjoy game drives, guided walks and seasonal biking. We recommend joining a nighttime safari to see some of the pans' rarer species such as aardwolf, aardvark, and brown hyena.

  • This morning you can wake up early to visit one of the meerkat clans that call the Kalahari home. These inquisitive creatures have been known to climb on top of visitors' shoulders in order to keep watch for predators. After a relaxing afternoon, you can head back out on a second safari in the company of local bushmen trackers to understand their culture and learn about the pans through their eyes.

  • This morning you will be flown back to Maun by light aircraft.

  • Arrive home today to complete your journey.
